He came up to me because he overheard me tell someone to read Ps. 51 and even interruped a witnessing encounter. He really wanted to talk to me. When he doubted the deity of Christ, I should have brought out John 20:28, but he says he will read the book of John. This is a short recorded conversation, but we talked for a long time afterward. He's confused about who Jesus is. Please pray for this man. He seemed pretty concerned about not knowing the truth. Michael just let Betty use his microphone to preach the gospel to the people at the State Fair. Now, Tamara gives him $3 to guess her age... he is way off. The day after Betty talked so long with him about Christ over the microphone and after this recording, when Betty passed by him that next day, he said something like, "all liars go to hell, you have to repent!" :) He remembered the converstaion!

I asked him what is stopping him from giving his whole life to Christ. He was honest with me and said he likes his sin more - going to parties and such. Tamara jumped in and talked more, trying to reason with the guy, but he really doesn't care. Not 5 minutes later, one of his buddies (Dave) comes up to us on a golf cart saying 'THANKS!' He had been witnessing to his friend John for a long time and was appreciative of us going out and obeying the command to preach repentance and faith. It made our night! Irish Festival. At one of the booths, these three were standing around so I asked them if I could ask them some spiritiual questions. The man was really nice until he had to face the Law of God. He got really bad at the end and kind of an "up in your face" kind of thing toward Matt. May the Lord have mercy on them. The son had some conviction and so did the mom a bit.
